Obesity and diseases

By Taher Dabbour

1-Obesity, heart disease and sudden death:

Did you know that it is rarely to find fat people above 75 years old that are still alive!, This theory may be the sort of fallacy, but it is a general indicator to the obese people and the importance of reducing weight.

Relationship of obesity and heart disease, sudden death is
depends on the duration of obesity, age of the person. Some
studies found that the persistence of obesity for more than
10 years, increses the percentage of exposure to heart
disease and sudden death, especially when obesity in
childhood or youth.

2- Obesity and diabetes:

There is no doubt that there is a strong relationship
between obesity and diabetes (non insulin-dependent),
however, we must not lose sight of that there are other
reasons such as genetics, sex, geographic locations and
other, but what is the relationship between obesity,
diabetes?
The material in each cell receiving the hormone insulin,
which burns Glucose to produce energy this material called insulin receptors and the absence of these receptors or reduced in
their number , insulin will not
work on the cell and so the Glucose will not be used and its percentage will rise in the blood. The percentage of these receptors is fixed on
normal fat cell.
If the size of the cell increased as in the obese people, so the number of
the receptors is few for the large cell area.
Our advice for every obese person is to reduce his weight which is the
optimal treatment for patients with diabetes as weight reduction leads to
the improvemen of insulin secretion.

3- Obesity and high blood pressure:

Suffice it to say that the rate of hypertension among obese up to three times the ordinary rate of weight loss and reducing the weight with reducing the use of food salt in high blood pressure persons improved the cases in up to 50% of them.

4-obesity and the the joints of body:

Obesity is bad for the joints and appears in the form of the pain of multiple joints.

5- Obesity and skin:

Obesity increases the amount of folding in the skin and is, therefore, be vulnerable to skin infections and bacterial and fungal infections as well as the lack of hot weather.
